Types of residence and work permit may be obtained by non-EU citizens in Spain

- Initial authorization of residence and work of highly qualified professionals
It is a temporary residence and work permit that can be obtained by a foreign worker to perform a work activity for which higher education qualification is required or, exceptionally, with a minimum of five years of professional experience that can be considered comparable
- Mobility of workers holding a Blue-EU Card issued in another State of the European Union
It is a residence and work authorization that enables foreigners holding a Blue-EU Card issued in another State of the European Union to exercise a qualified job in Spain
- Residence with the exception of work authorization
Exceptional cases when work permit is not needed to work in Spain
- Temporary residence for fixed-term work
Allows to reside and work in Spain for a period of less than one year (seasonal contracts, training practices, construction or service contracts, contracts for senior management personnel)
Entry, residence and work in Spain of managerial or highly qualified personnel
- Facilitated procedure to enter and remain in Spain on the grounds of economic interest Foreign nationals who intend to enter or reside, or already residing, in Spain will be granted a facilitated procedure to enter or remain in Spanish territory in cases where they provide evidence of being:
a) Investors.
b) Entrepreneurs.
c) Highly qualified professionals.
d) Researchers.
e) Workers subject to intra-corporate transfers within the same undertaking orgroup of undertakings.
